There is a date. The March 12, 2023will be held 95th edition of the Oscars organized by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) where the films released during the year will be awarded, delivering the Academy Awards, popularly known as the Oscars, in recognition of the excellence of all types of professionals who are part of the movie industry.
Also, this Tuesday Spanish Academy of Film Arts and Sciences unveiled the films that could represent our country to qualify for the candidacy of Best International Film of the upcoming Hollywood Academy Awards. After a vote among the three finalists: Alcarradirected by Carla Simón; Cinco Lobitos, Alauda Ruiz de Azúa; Y The beasts, signed by Rodrigo Sorogoyen, it will be the representative film of our country at the Oscars Alcarrafrom Carla Simone. Synopsis of ‘Alcarràs’, by Carla Simón
This is the second feature film by director Carla Simón. It tells the story of the Solé family, which for generations has cultivated a large area of peach trees in the small Catalan rural town of Alcarràs. One day, the family discovers that some tractors are uprooting theirs collectedas the agreement they had with the landowner has become obsolete.
This brings the whole family together to harvest the peaches one last time. Work deals concept from Spain has emptied itself and has the participation of Jordi Pujol Dolcet, Xenia Roset, Anna Otín y Alberto Bosch as main players.
