The red and black of Atlas are getting ready to face Chivas this weekend, in another edition of the Clásico Tapatío, a duel where the “Zorros” will seek to get out of the bad streak in which they have had three consecutive defeats. For now, the red-and-black team has 14 units, the same amount they added in total the previous campaign, so they have the second part of the tournament to improve what was done in Clausura 2024.

The Atlas midfielder hopes that the Clásico Tapatío will help the Zorros get out of the bad streak they are experiencing in the Apertura 2024.
Prior to the duel against Guadalajara, midfielder Jeremy Márquez recalled the idea of the Clausura 2022 quarterfinals, a match where the Atlas youth player managed to score a double against Chivas as a visitor and take the first step towards the Zorros’ two-time championship .
“It was a very nice night, I remember that, I do remember very well even the celebrations and everything seemed to go slower and apart from that, a double, then I had never done a double and it is the only double I have done in my professional career, it was a very nice night,” Jeremy Márquez mentioned in an interview for Azteca Deportes.
On the other hand, Jeremy also took the opportunity to send a message to the “faithful” for this duel in which it seems that they are not favorites and promises to look for a night like the one he had a few tournaments ago.
“Telling the fans to be there with us, that we are going to kill ourselves on the field and we are going to seek victory, and yes, a double or a goal, obviously it would be like the finishing touch, but a goal that helps “More than anything, the result is to the team and that’s it,” Márquez pointed out.
