This will be the 2023 Federal League


The CAB Competitions Department has provided the first details of the tournament which will start at the end of January.

The Argentine Basketball Confederation, through its competition department, has provided more details on what will be the next edition of La Liga Federal 2023. The competition is expected to start on January 28.

Featuring 130 teams from 22 provinces, the regular stage will have a total of 1,100 matches. The teams will be divided into 8 zones/regions and these in turn will be divided into two groups. The Regular Stage will be played over 15 weeks, placing the top two teams in the Play Offs, which will end on May 14th.

The teams positioned from 5th to 8th place will play the Play In instance (5th vs 8th and 6th vs 7th, on May 20th) and then the two winners will face the teams positioned in 3rd and 4th position (May 27)

The four finalists from each sub-area will play a three-game playoff (May 31, June 3 and 4), resulting in the four winners from each region.

The crosses between regions will be given to the best of three matches starting from the 16th Final. The 2023 Federal League Finals are scheduled for the end of July.

16th Final – 16, 20 and 21 June
8th Final – 26 and 30 June, 1 July
4th Final – 6, 10 and 11 July
Semifinal – 16, 20 and 21 July
Final – 25, 29 and 30 July
