In an articulated manner, several Government institutions and relief entities have been present on the landing strip of the Ilopango Airport, to attend to any emergency that occurs this Saturday in the midst of a new edition of the Ilopango 2024 Air Show that attracts thousands of spectators to see the skill of national and foreign pilots.
The event was inaugurated this Saturday by the organizing committee led by Francisco “Paco” Sol, the Minister of Tourism, Morena Valdez, and the president of the Autonomous Port Executive Commission (CEPA), Federico Anliker.
One of the attractions is the Avianca plane with the Surf City logo that landed in Ilopango this morning, as well as aircraft from the Salvadoran Air Force, since those present are allowed to approach the helicopters to take a postcard and fifty cents were allowed to board the Avianca plane and the funds will be sent to the Benjamín Bloom Children’s Hospital in San Salvador.
For the development of this activity, all precautions have been taken to avoid accidents and this includes the ordering of traffic, the inspection of all the machines participating in the Show and the strategic location of rescue entities to deal with any mishap.
Likewise, the Medical Emergency System (SEM) deployed some of its ships to participate in the event and guarantee the well-being of all attendees. The helicopters had the necessary personnel.
For his part, the president of CEPA stated: “This weekend, the Ilopango International Airport dresses up so that all of you can enjoy a high-class spectacle. Now, Salvadorans can be proud that in our two international airports we have modern and spacious Passenger Terminals, which meet world-class standards to comfortably receive the travelers who transit through them.”
