On Saturday February 18 and Sunday February 19, the town of Rennes-les-Bains, and especially the La Cabanasse area, will once again be the setting for a country motocross event counting for the French championship.
This time, it is the first of the five events on the national cross-country calendar. The other dates will take place in Rioms Es Montagne (18 and 19 March), Usson-en-Forez (15 and 16 April), Migé (13 and 14 May) and finally Montigny-lès-Condé (17 and 18 June). This is the second event that the Pech Auriol association has organised. Indeed, the infrastructure lends itself particularly well. The circuit of 9 200 km allowing candidates to feast on a diversity of a route that passes through undergrowth, paths, fields, crossing areas with stone area, makes it a privileged place for a national competition. The free car park located next to the course allows visitors, as well as competitors, to have a place very close to the mechanical and refueling area. A dining area with grilled meats and refreshments guarantees everyone comfort and a place of conviviality throughout the weekend.
This motocross country event will take place over two days, for separate categories : Saturday will be reserved for “ kids ” (under 15), women and young people (under 17) who will compete in two rounds of 30 minutes. Then, on Sunday, it will be the turn of the elite categories to set off in soft solo (regionals who will run in 2 hours) and solo (nationals who will run in 3 hours), with a special test or sprint test for certain categories. Spectators will be able to attend the youth, junior, hopes, national 1, 2 and 3, women’s, veterans and super-veterans events by accessing the areas reserved for them throughout the circuit.
Admission is free and as much to say that the show is assured. The volunteers and friends of the organizing association Moto club Pech Auriol carried out the latest developments to the infrastructures allowing the competitors, the assistance and the public to benefit from maximum comfort and optimum safety. The day before the races, the signaling tapes will make it possible to delimit the racing areas prohibited to the public. The stewards will ensure compliance with the regulations throughout the events, before the classification is communicated taking into account the penalties.
