“This week will be our 9/11,” warns the general practitioner; New York records its first decline in daily deaths | Univision Salud News

France recorded 357 deaths from covid-19 in hospitals in the last 24 hours, the lowest number in a week, the Directorate General of Health announced on Sunday.

In total, 8,078 people have died in the country since the epidemic broke out, 5,889 of them in the hospital and 2,189 in non-hospital centers, such as medicalized nursing homes.

France also recorded a lower figure than in previous days of new intensive care patients. “The number is progressively decreasing,” according to the statement, although there are still nearly 7,000 patients on resuscitation.

Despite encouraging figures, the DGS warned that “the epidemic continues to hit hard” on France.

In total, 28,891 people are still hospitalized, that is to say 748 more than on Saturday. Since the beginning of the epidemic, 16,000 patients have been completely cured, according to these sources.
