More than one and a half million doses of AstraZeneca against the coronavirus will arrive this Tuesday in the country, which are part of the five million that will arrive this week, and with which Argentina will have added more than 55 million vaccines, within the framework of the Strategic Immunization Plan that the national government deploys throughout the territory.
As it was officially reported, A shipment of 1,654,500 doses of AstraZeneca will arrive at the airport this Tuesday from Ezeiza on Air Canada flight AC7251.
Meanwhile, on Wednesday two planes will arrive, one from Qatar Airways (QR8155) with 1,448,000 and another from the German company Lufthansa (LH8264) with 1,230,000 doses of Sinopharm.
The fourth flight is scheduled for next Friday, with the remaining 570,000 doses of the vaccine from the Chinese laboratory.
So far, since the beginning of the campaign, Argentina has received a total of 50,568,620 vaccines against the coronavirus.
All vaccines
Of that total, 15,000,920 are Sputnik V: 10,955,260 from the first component (of which 1,179,625 were produced by Richmond) and 4,045,660 from the second component (702,500 were produced in the Argentine laboratory).
From the AstraZeneca firm, the country already has 13,939,700 vaccines among the 580,000 from Covishield, the 1,944,000 received by the Covax mechanism, 10,204,700 provided directly by the laboratory, 400,000 donated by Spain and 811,000 by Mexico. Meanwhile, 17,928,000 are from the Sinopharm laboratory, 200,000 from Cansino and 3,500,000 from Moderna, donated by the United States.
According to Public Vaccination Monitor, until this morning they were distributed 47,610,449 doses throughout the territory, while 41,930,538 were applied: 27,797,557 people were inoculated with the first dose and 14,132,981 have the complete scheme.
The Government distributed this last weekend in all the jurisdictions of the country more than 1 million doses of components 1 and 2 of the Sputnik V vaccine, in its variant produced by the Argentine laboratory Richmond, in addition to the batch that arrived days ago from the Russian Federation and the 1,500,000 cargo from Sinopharm, also recently arrived.
The meeting of the Cofesa
In parallel, on Monday morning the meeting of the Federal Health Council (Cofesa) began in San Luis, headed by the Minister of Health of the Nation, Carla Vizzotti, and with the presence of ministers from all over the country.
