This was the attack on the INAI offices in CDMX according to security VIDEO

INAI offices, CDMX, vandalized

A 1.03-minute clip began to circulate on social networks that corresponds to the acts of vandalism carried out at the headquarters of the National Institute of Transparency, Access to Information and Protection of Personal Data (INAI), located on Avenida Insurgentes Sur, in the mayor’s office. Coyoacán, this morning.

In the video you can see an individual wearing gray pants, a white t-shirt and a blue shirt, who walks with his hands in his pockets to the side of the facilities, suddenly stops and takes out an object from one of them, Apparently a stone, which he threw against the tempered glass of the façade, however, it bounced, but he did not give up his attempt, and after lifting the object he threw it again, causing the huge glass to explode.

After his “feat”, the man enters the interior of the offices and then leaves them and leaves the place walking without any concern, which was captured by nearby security cameras.

The event did not go unnoticed in the morning conference of President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, who spoke about said autonomous body.

“We have to differentiate, one thing is the INAI and what is being proposed, that the INAI disappears, not transparency, that is very important. “It is one thing for an institution with which the PRIAN candidate had contracts to disappear when she was a senator, plus other things that were found involving corruption within the INAI, and a very different thing is for transparency to disappear in governments, all public institutions.” , he argued when reiterating his support for the proposal made by his predecessor to disappear the organization.

Regarding the facts, the head of the Executive only limited herself to saying that, “The acts of vandalism at the headquarters of the organization must be investigated.”

For her part, through her X account, the entity’s commissioner, Julieta del Río Venegas, posted “This morning the @INAImexico headquarters was vandalized in this unfortunate way. We condemn these events and call on society to maintain respect for institutions and people. Fortunately, there is no damage to the personnel, only to the facilities.”

Likewise, authorities from the agency condemned the attack and reported that the capital authorities had already been notified to investigate the events; It was also indicated that they have already quantified the damage, while the reasons for the attack are unknown.
