In particular, in 2023, the developers sold over 500 thousand copies. Other statistics also became known: about 23% of players on Steam saw the end of the war, over 100 thousand users played more than 100 hours. Average game time is 17 hours.
IN This War of Mine You play not as an elite soldier, but as a group of civilians trying to survive in a besieged city and suffering from a lack of water, medicine and the constant threat of snipers and marauders. The game allows you to look at the war from a completely unusual angle.
The pace of the game is set by the change of day and night. During the day, snipers on the streets do not allow you to leave the shelter, so you are left to maintain life in the shelter: crafting, trading and taking care of the survivors. But at night, you and one of the townspeople go to unique locations in search of useful items.
This War of Mine was released back in November 2014 on PC, and then reached iOS and Android, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. In May 2022, the game received a full Final Cut edition for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
