This video of Antonio de la Torre travels Twitter after his speech at the Complutense

The actor Antonio de la Torre has become a trending topic in recent days due to the powerful message he launched after being named, in the same act as Isabel Díaz Ayuso, an illustrious student at the Complutense University of Madrid.

The actor starred in a strong defense of health and public education before the ‘popular’ leader. And now, just a few hours later, another message from Antonio de la Torre runs through Twitter something similar.

The commented video has been uploaded to the social network Damián Caballero, president of the Platform for the Affected by Hepatitis C, and in just a few hours it has accumulated more than 2,400 ‘likes’ and 1,300 retweets.

“If you are with public health, we are waiting for you, we need you. On Sunday, February 12 at 12:00, concentration for public health,” says De la Torre in the video.

That February 12, a new demonstration is being prepared for the public health of Madrid in which more investment will be demanded for Primary Care, the hiring of more personnel and the reopening of Extra-hospital Emergencies as before the pandemic.

This new mobilization will take place three months after the massive demonstration on November 13, 2022, in which tens of thousands of people demanded quality Public Health from the regional government.

In the Complutense speech, De la Torre stressed that there are two concepts that are widely used now: freedom and homeland: “For me the word freedom has always meant having the resources to be able to think for myself.”

He also came out in defense of the public, instantly receiving a huge ovation from those present: “My father died just when I was doing COU and my mother was an illiterate housewife. I was able to study here because I had a scholarship. I studied All my life in public media. I have managed to think in freedom and I have achieved freedom thanks to the existence of public education.”
