The first Russian soldiers stationed in Belarus began arriving in the former Soviet republic last weekend. The Ministry of Defense of Belarus has announced that 9,000 Russian soldiers will be stationed on the territory of the country.
Troops sent from Moscow arrived by rail, in heavy armored vehicles and military trucks decorated with white triangles visible on some of the trains.
The symbol in question, analogous to the infamous letter Z, was already present on the military uniforms of the soldiers that Russia had deployed on the Ukrainian border in the weeks before the Kremlin launched its invasion.
According to Kiev, Russia is preparing for another attempted assault on the Ukrainian capital after the failure of the first days of the conflict, stressing that it is only 150 km from the Belarusian border and it would be “much easier” for Moscow to launch its invasion from there. informs 20minutos.
First, the Russians, as I noted earlier, arrive without heavy equipment. Videos that have been circulating on Twitter in recent days, allegedly showing Russian tanks, APCs and howitzers with “new threatening tactical signs” arriving in Belarus, are not real. 7 / pic.twitter.com/ZuKJxcEApV
