This survey says Apple users don’t mind 5G

Merdeka.com – iPhone 12 is rumored to have a 5G network support feature. This feature is predicted to be an attraction to increase Apple sales. However, Ubergizmo reported, Thursday (1/10), it turns out that these features are not a fundamental consideration for choosing the iPhone 12 for consumers.

This is known from a survey conducted by Decluttr. The survey involved about 1,750 adults in the US. As a result, as many as 42 percent of respondents planning to buy an iPhone 12 did not know that it would be supported with 5G connectivity.

More interestingly, the survey states that 28 percent of iPhone users think their device is 5G-capable. And, as much as 16 percent of them believe their iPhone phone is compatible with the 6G network which is completely absent.

“Meanwhile, when asked why they upgraded to the latest iPhone, 32 percent of respondents happened to need an upgrade or the telecom operator they were using happened to offer an option for that,” said Decluttr CMO Liam Howley.

When it comes to upgrading, smartphone users usually buy a new cellphone every one (24 percent) for up to two years (22 percent).

It’s just that, users will update their iPhone if they need it, not just the fit. Meanwhile, They will upgrade when the cellphone is damaged (48 percent), when the cellphone is damaged beyond repair (41 percent), or when the device is deemed eligible for upgrade (37 percent).

“Most consumers are not so keen on the latest technology that they actually pay dearly,” Howley said.
