Frankfurt Hardly any home builder can avoid the programs of the KfW development bank. Because the funds are among the few state subsidies for new construction.
But homebuilders must be prepared for a longer-than-expected test of patience: The new KfW programs would be available no earlier than March next year, a spokeswoman for the Federal Ministry of Housing said. The ministry announced that the start would likely be “in the second quarter of 2023”. Many details of the new rules are still unclear.
This is bad news for builders and real estate developers. The construction industry has long called for transparency on future “subsidies”.
After all, without clear framework conditions, many customers do not know whether they can calculate with a subsidy or not.
