It will take place in the format of 10 kilometers and 5 kilometers in an urban circuit with start and finish at the school and there will also be a version of 2 kilometers and 1 kilometer for the minor categories on a circuit drawn up within the aforementioned educational centre.
The VI Race ‘El Pilar-Marianistas’ takes place on Sunday 15 January, organized by the Nuestra Señora del Pilar school with the collaboration of the Municipality of Jerez. The event has a solidarity profile, for the benefit of the NGO ‘Acción Marianista’, which develops projects in various international Marianist communities. In this edition, the NGO will allocate funds to an educational project to support the schooling of boys and girls with special educational needs in Bogotá (Colombia).
The layout of the urban circuit, with departure and arrival at the aforementioned educational center starting at 10 am, will allow the race to be held both in the 10 km format and in the 5 km format, being the same as the last edition held in 2020. In the same way , starting at 12, there will be tests for the categories of less than 2 kilometers and 1 kilometer whose route has been traced inside the school.
The path for the 5k and 10k version (in two laps of the 5k circuit) is as follows: departure from the school, Marianistas avenue, Hijuela de la Zorra, Fernando de la Cuadra, Doñana Park, Marianistas avenue, extension of Pizarro street, Maestro Álvarez Beigbeder, García Figueras avenue, Glorieta de los Olivos, Nuestra Señora del Sagrado Corazón avenue, María Auxiliadora avenue, Federico García Lorca, Las Marinas square, García Figueras avenue, Duque de Abrantes avenue, Antonio Machado street, Marianista Ciriaco Alzola street and entrance to the school finish line.
1k and 2k races They are made inside the enclosure, where there is a great atmosphere. Also, the test, held weeks before the Seville Half Marathon, is for runners who are just getting ready.
