Although the human body is actually capable of producing vitamin D on its own, it is important to know that vitamin D is fat-soluble, and has an important role in calcium absorption and bone health.
However, vitamin D also plays a role in maintaining the immune system, namely protecting yourself from getting sick, preventing osteoporosis, controlling blood sugar, to overcoming hypoparathyroidism, rickets, and hypophosphatemia.

Not only that, now a new study says that vitamin D can prevent cancer breast. Citing Eat This, in a new issue of the peer-reviewed journal Nutrition and Cancer, three genetic and biochemical researchers in Pakistan have published their findings; which states that “Pakistani women are at high risk of developing cancer breast.”
They also note that vitamin D deficiency is an often overlooked factor, even though this vitamin has strong links to disease prevention cancer breast.
It is known that this study involved 154 women who had been diagnosed with cancer breast, and 248 were randomly selected for the control group. The researchers noted that of the 402 women, 51.5 percent were completely unaware of their vitamin D levels.
