Buyers are, but not as ever, admitted the dealers addressed. Turnover has been declining since the market went green.
The salesman Solvita told Latvian Television: “Loyal customers basically come the same way. And thanks to them, we stay here. It is also the case that restaurants are less open now. They used to have a lot of orders.”
In turn, the merchant Dzintra pointed out that many stands are closed, and her stand is also on the question mark. “You have stress. I don’t sell any aerated concrete with a huge sales time. I have fish, hot smoke, [termiņš] five days. This stress is simply phenomenal. You’re going through it though, I’m materially responsible. “
The traders surveyed said they were all vaccinated against Covid-19, but Solvita added: “Before the 15th, it was normal for everyone to come in. It’s pretty sad now.”
Renāta Petrova, Head of Marketing and Development at the Riga Central Market, said: “It is gratifying that the percentage of people being vaccinated is growing, awareness is growing. The first week was so empty, but today we can already see that people are starting to appear on the market.”
