Capella Space is the private company behind operational spy satellite which is called the Capella 2 Satellite. The Sun reported, this satellite stands out more from other surveillance or surveillance aircraft as it can take clear pictures in any weather at any time.

This means that rain and darkness will not be able to stop him from zooming in on the object in question. This capability is due to a technology called synthetic aperture radar (SAR), an imaging technique that can be more effective than optical imaging.

“It (the object in bad weather) is not visible to you, and part of it is moving. The new satellite aims to combat this problem and provide 24/7 monitoring of almost anything,” CEO Payam Banazadeh, former systems engineer for NASA told Futurism, as quoted The Sun.

Yes, Capella has just launched platform which can be used by governments or private customers to request any image they want to see anywhere in the world. The company plans to deploy six more satellites by 2021.

“There are many gaps in the way we observe Earth from outer space at this time. Most of the sensors we use to observe Earth are optical imaging sensors,” said Banazadeh.

“If it is cloudy, you will see clouds, not what is happening under the clouds. And if there is not a lot of light, you will have a hard time getting useful images,” he said.

Banazadeh explained, the Satellite SAR technique works like echolocation. The radio signal is emitted to the target area and then when it bounces back, the image is interpreted.

It’s like a satellite that has X-ray vision. This means that it can penetrate its view through things other satellites can’t like, like fog.

Capella claims to be the first company to offer SAR technology, even though they didn’t create it. They hope to improve the technology further while adhering to the Privacy Act. This is a law in the US that prevents companies from making image quality resolutions too high.

This technology is currently very useful for government agencies or scientists who want to observe the rate of deforestation. (Also read: Christmas-New Year Holidays in the Pandemic Era, Polda Metro and Pemprov DKI Prepare Supervision Models )
