This Space Gas Station Design, Cool Isn’t It?

Technology really continues to develop, while Indonesia is still busy with filling subsidized gasoline required through applications, overseas ideas and thoughts have emerged to be able to create Public Fuel Filling Stations (SPBU) in outer space.

Quoted by Autoevolution, the idea to give birth to a gas station in outer space was initiated by a company called Quantum. Quantum itself is explained to be founded by Aviom Space owner, Kamal Ghaffarian, along with former NASA employees who served as Acting Administrator, Steve Jurczyk and Ben Reed who served as NASA Exploration and In-Space Services at Goddard Space Flight Center Division.

Quantum itself is explained to have a goal to create a series of modular platforms, establish a service station, and serve all the needs of spacecraft. So they will become service centers in space, and become refueling stations, cargo exchange stations, or whatever.

In contrast to gas stations in the world, we can be sure that all operating systems for this space gas station will use the services of robots. Gas stations, known as Commercial Lunar Robotic Outposts, will have an important role in the future, by having various roles, namely as a place for vehicles to meet and connect with each other, can exchange loads, as a resting place, and as a refueling place.

Indeed, it cannot be stated how the design and complete information about this space gas station will be. However, if you look at the design presented by Quantum, this space gas station will have a modular satellite-like design that is equipped with various tools needed for whatever task the user wants.
