The Advent season and winter are in full swing and EA is providing a first surprise with a new FUT event before Christmas Eve. “Freeze” celebrates its premiere and this is what it looks like.
In advance EA has made a big mystery about what “Freeze” could be about. On December 11th at 7 p.m. there was the resolution – players receive a card with a different position and an upgrade in overall strength.

In particular, Sadio Mané from Liverpool FC, who received a 92 card, which is located in the storm, stands out. You can use the position cards to play him in any central position in the storm and in the midfield.
The second best card has Casemiro from Real Madrid, the Brazilian has a rating of 90 with his new center-back card. From the Bundesliga, two players in Thorgan Hazard (Borussia Dortmund) with a striker card and Salif Sané from Schalke 04 as defensive midfielders received a “Freeze” card.

Apparently EA got a taste for turning lively players into central defenders. After Jesus Navas, Kevin Volland has now also received a card as a central defender. You can earn this in the weekly exercises.

“FUTmas” celebrated its premiere at FIFA 13. Since then, the FUT event has been an integral part of the Ultimate Team mode and would see its ninth edition in December 2020. Last year there was “FUTmas” on December 13th, the second Friday of the month.
