China is developing a rocket that would reach the record speed of 4000 km/h. It aims for flights between Beijing and New York by 2025.

Currently, it takes about 18 hours to reach New York from Beijing. Tomorrow, China intends to reduce this duration to just one hour. And to get there, she counts well on this winged rocket currently under development which will also be able to accommodate space tourism.
Less expensive than satellite launchers and faster than an aircraft
Chinese aerospace company Space Transportation asserts: it will be possible to connect the two megalopolises in less than sixty minutes. “We are developing a winged rocket for high-speed transport from point A to point B, which will be less expensive than satellite launchers and faster than a traditional aircraft.l,” a company spokesperson said in an article published by Yicheng Times. Two rocket boosters should allow the plane and the glider wing attached to it to take off.
An incredible speed of 4000 km/h
Once launched into the air, the wing and thrusters will detach, leaving the plane to fly on its own. The thrusters and wing will land on a ground launch pad, the plane continuing its route at more than 4000 km/h to its destination, before landing vertically. The firm has already carried out flight tests at the space frontier in the past and would like to take this step by 2030. Regarding the rocket, it will be scheduled to be tested on the ground by 2023, then for a first flight in 2024, and finally with passengers in 2025.
