ARCHITECTURE – A new observation deck will be created in New York from March 2020. Its particularity? Part of its floor is made of glass, allowing visitors to observe Manhattan … under their feet, as shown in the video at the top of the article.
The 696 m2 platform rises to 335 meters in height. It is attached to the “30 Hudson Yards” skyscraper, located in the modern district of the same name.
Called “Edge”, this new observation spot promises to become a real competitor against the traditional popular Big Apple skyscrapers, such as the Empire State Building and Rockefeller Center. Edge also becomes the highest observation deck in the West and the fifth tallest in the world.
Visitors will have to take an elevator, which will take no less than a minute to climb. They can also enjoy a 924 m2 restaurant near the terrace.
The ticket office is also already open. Access will cost between $ 36-38 for adults and $ 31-33 for children.
