RIAU, KOMPAS TV – Rosmaniar and his son, Hotnasari Nasution, were shocked when they found out that their savings at Bank Riau-Kepri suddenly decreased drastically.
Rosmaniar, who has been saving since January 2015, originally had Rp 1.2 billion in savings. However, his savings suddenly disappeared and there was only Rp.9.7 million left.
Meanwhile, his son’s savings, Hotnasari Nasution, lost Rp. 133 million.
The Riau Regional Police’s Special Criminal Investigation Directorate (Ditreskrimsus) also succeeded in uncovering a criminal case of theft of the customer’s savings.
Head of Public Relations of the Riau Regional Police, Kombes Sunarto, said the police had arrested two perpetrators. They each have the initials NH (37) and AS (42).
Sunarto explained that the two perpetrators stole customer money while still working at the state-owned bank.
