Thousands of West Kalimantan PDI Perjuangan cadres returned to their hometown by boat on Sunday (25/6/2023) after participating in the commemoration of the Bung Karno Month at the Bung Karno Main Stadium on Saturday (24/6/2023). The head of the West Kalimantan PDI Perjuangan DPD, Lasarus, released the cadre of the Bull Party cadres and greeted them before their departure, even giving them pocket money. Lasarus expressed his appreciation for their participation in the event and wished them a safe and exciting journey back home.
The arrival of thousands of cadres from West Kalimantan to Jakarta was appreciated by PDI Perjuangan Chairperson Megawati Soekarnoputri. She wants this appreciation to be followed up with political work to win the PDI Perjuangan in the upcoming 2024 elections. Lasarus conveyed Megawati’s message to the cadres, urging them to share their positive experiences from the Bung Karno Month commemoration with their friends, family, and acquaintances.
In other news, the peak event for the commemoration of the Bung Karno Month was successfully held at Gelora Bung Karno (GBK), Senayan, Central Jakarta on Saturday (24/6/2023). Despite the large number of attendees, including hundreds of thousands of PDIP cadres, GBK was able to be used for sports again in the evening. Many people were seen running, walking, and even playing badminton around the GBK Ring Road. This was made possible by the hard work of the Juang Community and the team from the DKI Jakarta Environment Agency.
The event’s success was also attributed to the discipline of nearly 100 thousand PDIP cadres who left the GBK area in an orderly manner. The PDIP’s commitment to restoring the cleanliness of the GBK complex after the event was evident through the teamwork and dedication of the cadres and members of the community involved. The Head of the PDIP DPP Secretariat, Yoseph Aryo Adhi Dharmo, expressed his gratitude and appreciation for their efforts.
