Carabobo remains this Sunday among the 12 states that must comply with strict quarantine within the 7 + 7 phase that begins on Monday 29, in the border municipalities of Libertador (Tocuyito) and Diego Ibarra (Mariara), due to its incidence of infections in the last week by COVID-19.
The Minister of Popular Power for Communication and Information, Jorge Rodríguez,reported this Sunday, June 28, that in the last 24 hours they were registered in the country 39 positive cases of community coronavirus and 128 imported.
The minister unveiled two new deaths from COVID-19. A 73-year-old lady, in the Cacique Mara municipality of Maracaibo, state Zulia; and another 68 years old in the El Paraiso parish, Libertador municipality of Caracas, which increases the number of deaths due to the pandemic in the country to 44 victims.
Of the community cases: 22 are from the Capital District; 14 in Táchira, 1 in Miranda, 1 Trujillo, 1 Monagas.
Of the 128 imported, which represent 77% of the total infections, 124 compatriots come from Colombia; one from Brazil, one from Peru and four entered through the sanitary cords and trails of Brazil and Colombia.
To date, 5,197 cases have been registered in the country; one thousand 649 recovered; 3,000 active cases and 2,000 hospitalized.
Rodríguez added that to date 63,484 compatriots have entered through the border crossings, of which 3,104 have been positive for COVID-19 through mass screening.
Referring to the number of tests applied in mass screening, he specified that as of this Sunday 1,240,181 have been carried out, which is equivalent to 41,339 tests per million inhabitants.
Of the cases with active infections totaling 3,604, a total of 2,965 are admitted to hospitals, 593 to Comprehensive Diagnostic Centers (CDI) and 46 to private clinics.
Rodríguez assured that 98.72% of the positive cases are admitted and -attended in the National Public System, while only 1.28% are in private clinics.
Regarding the current condition of the patients, he reported that 3 thousand 134 are asymptomatic, 447 present mild severe acute insufficiency, 13 moderate severe acute insufficiency and 10 with severe acute insufficiency.
The official recalled that this Monday begins the 7 + 7 flexibilization day for the activation of the 24 economic sectors with the exception of some municipalities and entities:
- Capital District: radical quarantine in all the parishes of the Libertador municipality.
- Miranda: radical quarantine except Windward axis.
- Aragua: the Girardot municipality, that is, Maracay, Turmero, Palo Negro, La Victoria, San Mateo, Cagua, and Villa de Cura, are kept in quarantine, the rest of the municipalities can remain flexible
- Carabobo: only the municipalities Diego Ibarra (Mariara) and Libertado (Tocuyito) in quarantine, the rest in flexibilization.
- Zulia: radical quarantine in the entire territory except in the municipalities of the South of the Lake.
- Táchira: all border municipalities in radical quarantine.
- Hurry: all border municipalities in quarantine.
- Bolívar: only Santa Elena Uairén remains in quarantine.
- Lara: only Torres municipality in quarantine.
- Trujillo: radical quarantine on the Zulia-Valera highway axis and the Boconó and Pampanito municipalities.
- Mérida: radical quarantine in El Vigía.
- Sucre: radical quarantine in the Sucre municipality.
