Andrea Copellino has designed a concept that shows exactly what that reality could look like.

His concept of the iPod (2021) looks fantastic. The design of the iPhone 12 Pro is fully incorporated in the music player. That means: flat edges of stainless steel and a back of glass that makes wireless charging a possibility. The iconic Click Wheel and a large display with thin screen edges provide the control of the device.

In addition to the hardware, the software of this iPod (2021) has also been upgraded to better suit our times.

Remarkably, Andrea Cotellino has made a very striking design choice. He has chosen not to provide the iPod (2021) with a headphone jack. If Apple actually makes the product, it seems to us that the connection would be missing. Simply, because there are enough devices and headphones that in 2021 still use a cable.
