She would make the image completely different.
The role of Milady in the legendary film adaptation of “D’Aratagnan and the Three Musketeers” has become the hallmark of Margarita Terekhova. However, she was far from the only Soviet actress who reincarnated in this fatal image.
In the 1970s, The Three Musketeers was very popular. The role of Milady went to the bright actress Galina Venevitinova. She is known for the film “Take care of the women”, where she played Valya.
Many viewers are sure that the director of the film about the Musketeers should have taken exactly Venevitinova for the role of the insidious Milady – she would have looked much more convincing in this image than the expressive Terekhova. Galina had luxurious black hair, brown eyes and a face atypical for Soviet actresses.
And the restrained and deep look of Venevitinova could strike anyone to the very heart.
Unfortunately, the fate of Galina was tragic. She was diagnosed with lymphosarcoma and was told that the actress did not have much time left. Venevitinova played and starred to the last – her favorite thing slightly extended her life. Galina died at the age of 34, not having lived to see the premiere of the play, where she was assigned a significant role.
