Amazingly a man in Malaysia revealed his bad experience due to cigarettes and vaping. Through his Facebook account, the man named Mohamad Faris Ifwat admitted he had a leaky lung or called spontaneous pneumothorax.
This condition occurred suddenly, which caused his lungs to not develop normally. As a result, he had to be hospitalized at Teluk Intan Hospital for almost a week due to the shortness of breath he was experiencing.
“Alhamdulillah, I was discharged from the hospital after being treated in the ward for almost a week due to shortness of breath due to lung problems, caused by vaping and smoking,” Faris said. MasterMonday (1/8/2022).

“This condition makes my right lung compressed by the trapped air and then it becomes constricted,” he continued.
Medical Actions Performed
While in the hospital, the doctor had to remove the air by inserting a tube through Faris’ right chest which took 72 hours. If the procedure is not performed immediately, it can lead to lung failure.
“Thank God, after more than 72 hours of using the chest tube, the trapped air can be removed. And the chest tube is released on the fourth day,” explained Faris.
Although the procedure went smoothly, Faris’s lungs were still weak. It took practice for some time for his lungs to return to normal.
