Quoted from Fox Business, a man named Siraj Raval claims he can make up to US$800 or around Rp. 11.4 million per month from mining crypto money. But, there is a unique way he does to get cryptocurrency.
Siraj did his thing by connecting an Apple Mac Mini M1 computer to a Tesla Model 3 electric car by supplying electricity using a cigarette lighter socket. After that the laptop is connected to the wifi connection in the electric car.
Not only that, Siraj, who is a cryptocurrency miner, also combines an interconnected Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) component that uses a battery from a Tesla electric car. This method is done to facilitate getting cryptocurrency.
“Nothing else needs to be needed, you can run it for 24 hours. Then if you plug the car into a power outlet in the garage, it will continue to provide power. It’s a very simple way to do it,” Siraj said.
Siraj admits this idea came about because he often takes on new projects by relying on computers. So he doesn’t know if there are people out there who follow his idea or have already used this method.
However, since Siraj’s news surfaced, a number of the cryptomining community have doubted whether these figures are true or just made up.
Reporting from Carscoops, the phenomenon of using Tesla’s EV cars as a tool to mine cryptocurrency occurs because the cost of electricity to charge car batteries is relatively cheap. Especially when compared to using home electrical power.
Not to mention that automotive manufacturers have now provided many SPKLU facilities that can be used by consumers, one of which is Tesla.
