This man has a brain tumor, which was originally thought to be a normal migraine symptom

Nathan Vaughan (30) in Cambridgeshire, England tells his story about when he first discovered he had a brain tumor. It all started when he complained of a headache and thought it was ‘just’ a migraine or a migraine.

He said the headache started on his wedding day in May 2024. Nathan said it was the worst headache he had ever had. At that time, he didn’t think too much about the reason and thought it was just a result of pre-wedding stress.

“On the day of the wedding, I woke up with a terrible headache at two in the morning and I couldn’t sleep anymore. I took pain meds, migraine tablets, thinking it was because of wedding day anxiety,” said Nathan. from DailyMailFriday (27/8/2024).

“The pain doesn’t go away and it gets worse during the day,” he continued.

When the wedding was over, Nathan stayed and finally rested in the hotel room.

After three days of walking, the migraine didn’t go away. Nathan and his wife, Katie Glass (26) decided to go to the hospital. The doctor who did the examination found a tumor and said that Nathan must undergo brain surgery immediately.

Although Nathan and Katie were shocked, they were grateful that the tumor was found early so it could be removed sooner.

Doctors said there was bleeding from an abnormal tumor the size of two thumbs in Nathan’s brain. The team of doctors thought he had meningitis. A CT scan showed that Nathan had inflammation in the pituitary gland located in the brain.

“I thought it was just inflammation and that the doctor would just give me medicine. But I was told that I had a large pituitary gland tumor,” he said.

Not only that, the tumor was also pressing on Nathan’s optic nerve. As a result, Nathan’s vision became blurred and threatened his vision.

The operation took four hours to remove the tumor. Doctors said the tumor may have been in Nathan’s brain for a long time. However, it was finally revealed when the tumor finally began to bleed.

Fortunately, the tumor is benign, not cancerous and will not spread to other parts of the body.

“It could be a lot worse. As soon as you hear the word ‘tumor’ from a doctor, you can assume the worst,” Nathan emphasized.
