It is also important to avoid fatty foods, spicy foods and heavy meals, especially before going to bed.
The association pointed out that it is normal for a person to suffer from heartburn at a rate of one to twice a week, but in the event of infection at a rate greater than that or if the problems are severe, then the doctor should be consulted urgently. Given that neglecting treatment increases the risk of esophageal cancer.
It is worth noting that heartburn means a burning sensation behind the sternum, knowing that the reason for this is due to the rise of stomach acid into the esophagus.
