Previously, it was reported that it was viral on social media for Xiaomi’s flagship cellphone, namely: Mi 11 Ultra, claimed to suddenly explode. It is alleged that the explosion caused the internal components to melt.
The owner of the cellphone in question said that the Mi 11 Ultra exploded when he was wearing it in his hand for video editing. According to him, the age of the flagship smartphone, which costs tens of millions of rupiah, has not yet reached a year and is still in good condition. He also made sure to recharge the battery using the default charger and that the cellphone was never touched by water.
When complained to Xiaomi, it was claimed that the service was bad. “Even though I have been using their loyal brand since I was in high school,” the caption in the screenshot says.
In the continuation of the post below, Xiaomi is said to only want to replace half the price with a voucher, not replace it with a new one even though the Mi 11 Ultra is still under warranty.
Regarding the viral post, netizens’ responses varied. There are those who think that this is the consumer’s fault because of alleged irregularities from the consumer’s side with the assumption that the cellphone was exposed to water or opened the seal itself. Others think that this is not the consumer’s fault, but a factory defect and after-sales service which is considered poor.
