The judge ordered Edy’s immediate release from custody.
“He ordered the immediate release of the accused from custody,” the judge said.
Edy Mulyadi was found guilty of violating Article 15 of Law No. 1 of 1946 on criminal law.
The judge revealed why Edy had to get out of the holding cell immediately. This is because Edy’s sentence is the same as the term of arrest or detention she served.
“Since the penal period that will be imposed on the accused is the same as the period of arrest or detention that the accused has served, it is necessary to order the immediate release of the accused,” said the judge.
Previously, Edy was named a suspect on Monday January 31st. National Police Headquarters said Edy was named in connection with the hate speech related to his statement about “the place where the genius throws the child.”
“Investigators determined the status of the witness as a suspect,” Karo Penmas of the police public relations division, Brigadier General Ahmad Ramadhan, said Monday (31/1).

“After being examined as a witness and paying attention to some evidence of the witness examination with a total of 55 people consisting of 37 witnesses and 18 experts,” Ramadhan said.
