FC Red Bull Salzburg pulled off a real transfer coup with the signing of Bobby Clark.
The 19-year-old Englishman, who was trained at Liverpool FC, will have to wait a while for his debut in the “Bulls” jersey.
As the “Salzburg News” report, it is not clear when Clark will make his first appearance for his new club. Among other things, he is behind on training due to a slight back injury.
Austrian bureaucracy must be overcome
In addition, the central midfielder currently lacks a work permit. Since Great Britain is no longer part of the EU and Clark is therefore a non-EU foreigner, he needs that work permit.
The 19-year-old will only be allowed to play for Salzburg after approval has been granted. It is still unclear when this will be granted.
The Lijnders team’s next match is the return leg of the Champions League playoff against Dynamo Kiev on Tuesday (live ticker from 9 p.m.). The English U20 team player would not have been an issue there anyway, as he is not listed on the UEFA squad list.
Salzburg won the first leg away 2-0.
