KONTAN.CO.ID -JAKARTA. A survey by the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) said that 90% of Indonesians are disciplined in wearing masks in the midst of the corona or Covid-19 pandemic. However, the number of positive Covid-19 in Indonesia has not subsided.
From the covid-19.go.id site, the number of positive cases of corona on Friday, October 9, 2020 reached 324,658 people. This figure accumulated with the addition of daily positive corona patients who were recorded in 24 hours which reached 4,094 people.
Chairman of the Covid-19 Task Force Doni Monardo said, although 90 percent of Indonesians are disciplined in wearing masks in the midst of the corona pandemic, many are wearing inappropriate masks.
Doni said, the use of masks must be all the time while in public areas during the corona or Covid-19 pandemic. “The use of masks must also be done correctly,” said Doni, in a virtual press conference from BNPB, Friday (9/10).
In fact, according to Doni, when at home, people must still wear masks if there are family members who are still working in the office or doing activities outside the home.
“The use of masks at home is also a must, if there are family members who often leave the house, those at home must still wear masks,” said Doni.
The results of interviews with corona patients, from the data of 7% who were exposed to Covid-19, they did not leave the house. They are very likely exposed to families who are still out of the house.

In addition, 90 percent of respondents to the Wisma Atlet patient in the BPS survey were users of masks.
“(Wearing a mask) is both medical and non-medical, but it turns out that they are also exposed. Among other things, they are exposed when they eat. The distance is not regulated. They are not reminded when they eat,” said Doni.
As a result, even when eating, even though at home the distance must also be adjusted, limited in number. “So at any time you must not stop,” said Doni.
