With COVID-19 in Sliven district only for the first three days of the week 153 students were diagnosed. Since the beginning of the week, 46 educators have confirmed coronavirus infection. Dozens of classes and contact persons of sick students and teachers are under quarantine.
As of Monday, visits to neighborhood retirement clubs across the district have been suspended.
Planned admission and plans operations in hospitals in the area will be suspended from January 31.
Independent and joint inspections continue to comply with anti-epidemic measures by representatives of the Health Inspectorate, the police, the Food Safety Directorate and the Labor Inspectorate, with a focus on retail outlets, indoor public places, markets and nightclubs.

The incidence in Sliven region is currently 976.71 people per 100,000, while on Monday it was 722.54 people.
The highest incidence is in the municipalities of Sliven and Nova Zagora.
