This is what you didn’t see on TV – the Amazing Race contestant used a clever gimmick for the task –

Amazing Race Suomi program started last Saturday. One of the couples participating in the competition is radio Suomipop host Tinni Wikström and her friend Antti Savinainen with.

Wikström recounted the events of the first episode on Monday morning in Suomipop’s Aamulypsy. Wikström said that he was extremely excited for the first day of the competition.

– We had talked with Antti that we can’t go home first. I couldn’t bear to come to the studio if we had gone home first, Wikström said on the radio broadcast.

In the first episode, the contestants had to search for a jewel in a pile of stones in the Wieliczka salt mine. Wikström says on the radio that they found the gem “in a few minutes”. From the salt mine, the competitors continued their journey to St. Mary Magdalene Square, where they completed their second task.

In the task, the other contestant had to imitate a statue in the square for ten minutes. He had to balance five books on his head while holding a feather in his hand in the air.

A secret tactic

In the episode, we saw how the task created great challenges for several contestants. For example, singer Tuure Boelius completed the task for more than an hour and a half.

Wikström and Savinainen decided that Wikström would complete the task. The hosts of Aamulypsy, Juuso Mäkilähde and Tuukka Ritokoski, said on the radio that they also tried to perform the task in their home viewers.

Wikström also told a special revelation about completing the task. The secret technology was not revealed to television viewers during the program.

– I noticed that Tuure, who was doing the task for an hour and forty minutes, poured a bottle of water on himself. Paulus was next to me and I said to him: “Now we’re going to wet our hair!”. The judge was asked if he could wet his hair and he could, the radio host revealed.

– We wet our hair and then somehow found that corner. Then, when I got the books to stay, luckily that task went first. Wetting the hair helped, otherwise nothing would have come of it, Wikström concluded.
