JAKARTA – There are several things one should do after being declared recover from Covid-19 . Because, recovering from Covid-19 doesn’t mean you’re immune from corona virus .

From Covid-19 patient who were declared cured, about 22.9% complained about cough or hard to breathe . Then 15% complained of fatigue, joint pain and impaired cognition.

“The complaints lasted between 4 weeks of being exposed to Covid to 6 months after being exposed to Covid or 12 months. That’s what we can call long Covid,” said Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Specialist, dr. Yuli Suciati, Sp.KFR quoted from one of the shows on YouTube, Saturday (7/8).

For patients who still feel cough and shortness of breath, it is recommended to train the respiratory system. With this respiratory rehabilitation process, the patient will be taught how to get as much oxygen into the lungs as possible so that it is effectively used in daily activities.

“Breathing exercises can be done at home. The movements are very easy but the important thing is that the movements are carried out consistently every day, 10 to 20 minutes. Not only breathing exercises, you can do other exercises. Because it is easy to get tired, for example, with walking exercises,” suggested dr. Yuli.

While complaints of headaches and neck pain, dr. Yuli advised to stretch. This movement is important to do as a whole and routine every day for maximum results.

“For example, pain in the neck, stiffness in the neck, we can stretch the neck and shoulder muscles. It can also be in the spine. The effect of stretching is not direct, the impact will be there after several times of exercise,” he said.
