Earlier in June, it became known that the popular commissioner “White Boys” has its last season this fall. However, that does not mean that they will not be seen on the screen in the future.

Together they make a new series – this time about the gambling environment.

The series should, according to Discoverys press release called «Jack», inspired by the jack in the deck, but also the expression to get a physical or mental «jack».

– All four are involved in writing the series, so we stick together as a quartet, but not everyone will play in it. Some will play, some will direct, some will make coffee, such as Jørgen. We think he has a huge talent there, but it is important that he must want it himself as well, says actor Eirik Hvattum Bjørnstad in the press release.

The series will contain lots of humor, but also more drama and action than the viewers are used to from “White Boys”.

To portray the gambling community, the gang has long worked with research and talked to people in the community.

– The only experience we have from before is that one of us has been fired from an illegal poker club, says Hvattum Bjørnstad.

It is the group of friends Eirik Hvattum Bjørnstad, Torjus Tveiten, Johannes Roaldsen and Jørgen Evensen who together were behind “White Boys” and who are now together focusing on the new project.

The boys had great success with “White Boys”. According to Discovery, the viewing figures for season 6 had an average of 255,000, and the best episode 298,000. Then the series is only shown on discovery +, not linearly on TVNorge.

– “White boys” has been an adventurous success for us, and we have an incredible amount to thank Johannes, Eirik, Torjus and Jørgen for, says program director of Warner Bros. Discovery Norway, Magnus Vatn.

– It’s great that they work with new productions for us, and very fun to finally be able to say out loud that Jack is one of them. This is an ambitious and exciting project that we all have a real threat to.
