Czech Libuse Safrankova was just 20 when she had her international breakthrough in ‘Three Nuts for Cinderella’, and has since starred in a number of films.
In 2002 Safrankova and her actor husband Josef Abrhám (83) sued the publisher Jiri Janousek for false allegations of alcohol abuse and violence.
The Czech magazine “Super”, of which she was editor at the time, had published a story about the actor in which they accused her of having a drinking problem and of being very violent towards her husband.
Safrankova and Abrhám won in court, but have kept a very low profile in the media ever since.
