This is what the new corona rules in RLP bring with them – SWR Aktuell

The new, the 21st Corona Control Ordinance, comes into force on Friday. For regions with a low incidence, it provides for relaxation in the areas of gastronomy and tourism, for example. Alcohol consumption outdoors is then also possible again.

The incidence is falling across the country, the number of people vaccinated is increasing: The Rhineland-Palatinate state government has therefore before Pentecost in the new Corona Control Ordinance further easing announced.

Alcohol consumption allowed outdoors again

From Friday alcohol can be drunk in public again. Up to now this was already possible in outdoor catering; Now it is again allowed, for example, on streets, squares and in parks. Local public transport remains an exception. You are still not allowed to drink alcohol on buses or trains.

In addition, the new ordinance regulates the easing that has already been announced. In regions with a stable incidence below 100, outdoor cultural and sporting events are possible with 100 spectators – with test, distance and permanently assigned seats.

Incidence under 50: Cinemas and restaurants are allowed to open

Group sports outside are allowed with up to five people at a distance – regardless of how many households they come from. In regions with an incidence below 50, restaurants and cultural establishments such as cinemas can open under certain conditions from Friday, as can arcades and casinos. Excursion ships may receive guests outside on deck if the incidence is below 100, and inside if the incidence is below 50 – in each case in compliance with the current Corona requirements.

How are things going now?

The state government announced on May 12th that further easing will take effect before Corpus Christi (June 2nd). If the incidence is over 100 in a district or an independent city, the stricter rules of the federal emergency brake apply again.
