Activists of Elokapina and the Swedish Återställ Våtmarker daubed the pillars of the Parliament with red paint, which was cleaned for hours on Wednesday.
Administrative Director of the Parliament Pertti Rauhio told Iltalehte in the afternoon that the first phase of the cleaning has been done.

According to Rauhio, all color is removed. He estimates that the price of cleaning will be up to a five-figure sum. The parliament intends to demand punishment for the perpetrators and compensation from them for the costs caused by the attack.
The police arrested 11 people as suspects in the attack. The police are investigating the matter as aggravated assault.
