Mightily Friday– program ends in December. This is evident from the Instagram account of the host of the show, Sean Ricks.

The program was awarded the Talk Program of the Year award at this year’s Venla gala.

– Friday’s TV show ends in December of this year. That’s when we shoot the last episode. We received information about it today, Ricks writes.

Ricks says in his Instagram post that he decided at the beginning of the year to quit the program after this year.

– I matured the decision for a long time, but I had the feeling that I had done everything I could and my heart was full. Of course, it would have been great to see someone else take over Friday’s talk show and I could become a “spectator” myself, but this is how it went, he describes.

– I have a sad feeling about whether Friday’s TV program had continued or not, but in December I would have had to say goodbye to Friday nights with you. The program is as old as my middle child. 8 years currently. For EIGHT years, I have been able to spend Friday evenings with you and think together about everything between earth and heaven, he continues.

Friday– program is a current affairs program presented since 2016, which discusses various phenomena, events and citizens’ experiences in Finland, led by Sean Ricks.

Ricks describes his work as a presenter as a rewarding and educational experience.

– So I want to thank all of you, the best of the best viewers, for all the feedback, support, factual criticism and, above all, for the moments together. Thanks also to all the guests who here in Tampere opened their lives opposite me.

According to Ricks, Yle’s most popular Friday-docs will continue, but the TV program will only be made for eight episodes.
