This week, Oppo is organizing the Inno Day 2021 event, at which it will present several technological innovations for smartphones, so its the first ever flexible phone. Unlike last year’s conceptual rolling model Oppo X 2021 it will be a “normal” sales piece that will want to compete with the best. What will it look like?
Oppo Find N: competition for Galaxy Fold 3?
Press pictures of the upcoming Oppo “puzzle” were published by the well-known informant Evan Blass alias @evleaks. Thanks to them, we already know what we knew – the first flexible phone from Oppo will not have a clamshell design, but it will be a typical-looking smartphone that can be opened and enjoy the comfort of a larger internal display.
However, it will be the opposite Galaxy Fold 3 noticeably smaller, its diagonal will be only 7.1 “, with an aspect ratio of 8.4: 9. Oppo will use an LPTO display with an adaptive refresh rate of 0-120 Hz, which will “wake up” to a maximum brightness of 800 nits. We do not know the diagonal of the external display, but it is clear that it will not be as elongated as in the case of a Korean colleague.

Of course, a flexible smartphone needs a quality joint. Oppo promises up to 200,000 openings and closings and the possibility of locking at any angle. Like the Galaxy Z Fold 3, Oppo Find N offers the option to split the screen into two halves for selected applications, for example, you will see the viewfinder on one half and the controls on the other.
There are three camera lenses on the back of the phone, but we don’t know their parameters yet, we only know that the main sensor will boast a resolution of 50 megapixels. In addition to this three, the phone will have two selfie cameras, in the circular holes of the external and internal display.
Oppo Find N will be offered in three colors – white, black and purple. The phone’s premiere will take place this Wednesday, December 15th.
