This is what it looks like when hundreds of Teslas are updated at the same time via the internet | Car

A number of modern cars can receive so-called Over-the-Air updates to improve them. The update champion, however, is Tesla, which recently updated many hundreds of cars simultaneously.

Tesla cars can be upgraded remotely via the Internet. Recently, an impressive display of wireless technology was captured on video as hundreds of new, parked Teslas were updated at the same time. Although it says above the video that the cars are in contact with Musk’s Starlink satellite, that seems incorrect, because the updates are ‘just’ via a wireless internet connection. It is not clear where the video was taken.

ID.3 and ID.4

The footage shows a whole fleet of Tesla vehicles – most of which appear to be Model 3 – receiving software updates. The indicators will illuminate as confirmation. It can be clearly seen that no cables are attached to a car. More and more other automakers are also starting to look to Over The Air updates to save time and money, including Ford with the Mustang Mach-E and Volkswagen with the ID.3 and ID.4.
