A bonus that could reach up to 5000 euros is coming in a few days. You can only get the check by purchasing certain things and without ISEE limits. This is what it consists of.
It is not new that the Italian government is introducing incentives and bonuses to support the expenses of Italians who find themselves in a period of crisis. The pandemic virus and the conflict in Ukraine have only worsened the finances of many families. Various sectors have also been and still are at the mercy of the crisis today.
Precisely because of all these difficulties, the executive led by Mario Draghi has provided various incentives for families and businesses. Concrete support also for all those sectors that continue to suffer, such as that of cars. Just the auto sector was particularly affected by the crisis, so much so that the government decided to introduce a bonus up to 5000 euros.
For days this innovation was expected which was reported in the Prime Ministerial Decree published in the Official Gazette on May 16, 2022. It is precisely within the decree that the incentives are defined for buy non-polluting vehicles. A bonus planned for those who bought the car until December 31, 2022, and then it will extend to 2023 and 2024. But let’s go see the details.
5000 euro bonus for non-polluting vehicles: here’s how to request it
After the entry into force of the Aid Decree, the government continues on this path. All dealers who have entered into a sales contract from 16 May 2022 (date of publication of the DPCM) will be able to request the check. It is possible to do this through the ecobonus.mise.gov.it platform which will be open on 25 May.
Furthermore, on the platform, it is possible to book contributions for the purchase of new cars and motorcycles that are not polluting for dealers. For incentives we talk about appropriations for well 650 million euros for each year 2022, 2023 and 2024. For the current year, or 2022, the 650 million are divided for the purchase of category M1 cars and for mopeds and motorcycles.
As for the cars of categoria M1, ranging from a contribution of 3,000 euros for the 0-20g / km emission band to 2,000 euros for the other bands. In addition, the addition of € 2,000 for scrapping and € 4,000 for cars in the 61-35 g / km CO2 range is also expected. The list price of the car must not exceed 35,000 euros for all ranges, except for the 21-60 g / km CO2 range which must be less than 45,000 euros.
As anticipated, the bonus also concerns two wheels. For motorcycles e mopeds incentives are provided for non-electric vehicles equal to 40% of the purchase price up to 2,500 euros. This incentive is dedicated only to individuals who buy a vehicle of no less than 5 euros and scrape the vehicle of the same category. While the contribution is 30% without scrapping up to 3,000 euros.
