Tensions in eastern Ukraine continue to rise in anticipation of a large-scale Russian offensive there.
Moscow and Kyiv are gathering forces in the eastern Donbass region, and satellite imagery shows the movement of Russian troops and equipment at at least three locations along the border with Ukraine.
Joe Biden and Boris Johnson talked on the phone, discussing how to increase economic pressure on Russia and end the West’s dependence on its oil and gas.
The conversation took place hours before Biden accused Putin of being a “dictator” who committed genocide in Ukraine. In his speech, Biden for the first time called Russia’s actions in Ukraine “genocide”, having previously only described them as war crimes, Nova reported.
