“D.Gray-Man”: A compassionate hero in the fight against dark forces
The Millenium Count promises grieving people that he will be able to bring loved ones back to life. However, if they accept the deal, their soul will be trapped in a machine monster called Akuma. Only Black Order exorcists can fight these creatures. Young Allan Walker is one of these exorcists. Having made a pact with the Millennium Count himself as a child, he can also see the desperate souls trapped within the monsters and acts with greater compassion than his colleagues. This often brings him between the fronts.

“Hell’s Paradise”: Dying for Immortality
“Bring me a cure for death and you’ll be free” is basically the Shogun’s offer to a group of hardened criminals. The drug is said to be on an island from which no one has yet returned alive. Contract killer Gabimaru is brought there by guard and executioner Sagari. The seemingly paradisiacal surroundings soon turn out to be hell on earth, and not because of the other murderous people (or only a small number of them): insects with human faces whose stings turn people into flowers, huge deformed creatures and a group of beautiful beings , who may be gods, prey on people.
