Tim is the first to leave the field. In the grand final, only Joes and Jan Dirk will compete for the title. Joes enters the final with 197 seconds and Jan Dirk with 244 seconds. Of course, in the end there can only be one winner. And that is Joes Brauers: he is crowned the smartest of this season.
Joes receives the trophy from former winner Tom Kleijn, who wants to give him a tip: “Put it in your bedroom.” Tom wants to reassure him that if he wakes up tomorrow and thinks it was a dream, it is really true. “I think it’s clear that I have to thank my sister who got me through it,” says Joes enthusiastically. He also thanks the makers and his mother ‘who is watching at home with a broken arm.’
The actor already indicated earlier this season how much he wanted to win the program. “I’d rather win The smartest than a Golden Calf.” The actor previously survived six episodes and was the smartest of the day four times.
