Three rolls must decide which of the two women will win. First of all, Geraldine and Linda are commissioned to make a portrait of a woman of power, because Iceland is perhaps the most feminist country in the world. Geraldine sends a photo of a woman in her study. Linda takes a photo of a firefighter, which the two jury members William Rutten and Cynthia Bol do the most. Linda rolls a 7 and Geraldine rolls a 6.
The second service focuses on fashion. The ladies have to photograph a model in a dress in the Icelandic landscape so that she becomes art. Linda’s photo immediately gives William goosebumps, but the jury also thinks Geraldine’s photo is “terribly well done”. Both Linda and Geraldine scored high marks for this photo shoot. Linda enters the top 10 of the season. Geraldine gets a 9.8.
The last assignment of the season is traditionally to make a triptych. Earlier this season, candidates have already taken a photo of the Northern Lights. That photo must be included in the triptych, unless applicants are really good at replacing the image with another photo. Linda and Geraldine are also forced to take a self-portrait. For this round, Linda gets a 7.8 and Geraldine a 7.5, meaning Linda wins.
“I just can’t believe I’m here now,” she says after winning. “When I started this program, I was hoping to get to the first episode, also because of my health. To be able to do it, with all of you. I thought it was one of the most beautiful adventures I’ve ever experienced”.
With the win, Linda joins an illustrious list of former winners such as Humberto Tan, Estelle Cruijff, Jamie Westland, Patty Brard, Bibi Breijman and Patrick Martens.
