PSG and sporting director Leonardo have been trying to extend the contract with Kylian Mbappé for months. A breakthrough has not yet been achieved. The numbers for the promised contract are on the table.
According to “RMC Sport”, the 22-year-old world champion has a four-year contract. The annual salary for Mbappé is said to be in the region of Neymar, which, following its recent extension, is expected to earn around 30 million euros per year. Mbappé still hesitates. A move abroad, especially to Real Madrid, appeals to him. At least this summer, this is probably unrealistic, as the Madrilenians simply cannot raise the financial means to afford it.
However, if Mbappé does not renew, he could move on for a free transfer next year. A scenario that the Parisians absolutely want to prevent. The PSG camp remains optimistic that in addition to Neymar (contract until 2025), Mbappé can also be held in the long term.
